Working as a doctor is already very complex in itself, but in an independent practice there is also the added burden of entrepreneurship. For many, it is therefore unattractive, even unthinkable. The result is a shortage of doctors, especially in rural areas, and long waiting times for patients. We have been tackling this problem with Salvida since August last year and are now pleased to announce the upcoming ground-breaking ceremony for Pebios – Center for Health in Perg.
Salvida Kirchham as a role model
Based on a holistic concept, Pebios focuses on the health and well-being of people in the region. A primary care unit (PCU) forms the heart of the health center, while specialists and therapists from a wide range of disciplines take care of other healthcare needs, just like at Salvida. Thanks to the modern medical equipment and a full-service package, the healthcare providers can concentrate fully on their actual job of caring for their patients.
About the project initiators
The Pebios project was launched by Dr. Michael Arvanitakis and Dr. Dominik Bammer, both general practitioners from Upper Austria. “Medical expertise under one roof, general practitioners and specialists, assisted living and gastronomy, acute care and preventive care, highly trained therapists and healthcare providers next door to each other and at the highest level,” is the vision.
Our response to the shortage of doctors
DDr. Michael Arvanitakis is convinced that this new facility will have a positive impact on the lives of people in Perg. “Our aim is to provide comprehensive healthcare that takes into account both physical and mental health. With our holistic approach, we want to support the community in leading healthier and more fulfilling lives.”
Completion by the end of 2024
The final talks on the PVE will take place this fall. Pebios is finally looking forward to welcoming the people of Perger from the end of 2024. Further information on the health center and the services on offer will be published in the coming months.
