The medical service includes the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and complaints in the area of the throat and larynx. These complaints can cause various symptoms that significantly affect the patient’s daily life and ability to communicate. The most common symptoms and their possible causes as well as diagnostic and therapeutic measures are described below: <\/p>\n\n

Pain<\/strong>:
Pain in the throat area can be caused by infection, inflammation, irritation or injury to the mucous membranes and muscles of the throat and larynx.<\/p>\n\n

Voice disorders<\/strong>:
Changes in the voice, such as hoarseness, can be caused by inflammation of the vocal folds, reflux disease, tumors, neurological diseases or functional voice disorders.
Any hoarseness that lasts longer than 2-3 weeks should be clarified by an ENT specialist!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Globus sensation<\/strong>:
The feeling of having a lump in the throat without a foreign body actually being present can be caused by stress, reflux disease or muscle tension.<\/p>\n\n

Compulsive throat clearing<\/strong>:
Frequent and compulsive throat clearing can be due to irritation of the mucous membranes, inflammation, reflux disease or muscular strain in the larynx, for example.<\/p>\n\n

Swallowing disorder<\/strong>:
